Ahead of I Go to Sleep is a British mystery thriller film which is directed and written by Rowan Joffé. The story of this film is primarily based on a 2011 novel, Before I Go to Sleep written by S. J. Watson. The film stars Nicole Kidman, Mark Powerful, Colin Firth and Anne-Marie Duff. This movie is going to release on 31 October 2014 in USA. Due to the presence of some brutal violence and language this film is rated as R.
The time duration of this movie is about 1 hr. 32 min. The complete story of the movie revolves about the heroine of the movie whose name is Christine and the Kidman plays the part of Christine who is a middle-aged lady. She wakes each and every morning with no memory of her life from her mid-20s onwards. She does not recognize anything even about the man in her bed or her own face in the mirror. No doubt Christine need to commence each and every day with a catch-up lesson delivered in tired but endlessly patient tones by Ben who played as her husband.
Christine behaved like this since she was met with an accident. And after her accident she has suffering from amnesia. This collapse of her memory makes Christine waking up next to a stranger-her husband Ben? Nonetheless she can’t retain new memories. Christine
But with the passage of time terrifying new truths begin to emerge which make her query every little thing she thinks she knows about her life – as properly as everybody in it, such as her doctor and even her husband.
In this way in the film Forty-year-old Christine Lucas wakes up in bed with a man she does not know, in an unfamiliar residence. However the man explains that he is her husband, Ben. He also tells her that she suffered brain damage from a vehicle accident ten years ago. Christine wakes up every morning with no memory of her life from her early twenties onwards. Each and every morning when she wakes up, Ben has to explain to her what has happened.
No doubt Christine receives therapy from Dr. Nash who performs as a neurologist at a regional hospital. He gives her a camera for her to record her thoughts and progress at the end of every single day, and calls her at home every single morning to remind her to watch the video in the camera. Dr. Nash also instructs Christine to preserve the camera hidden from her husband Ben. Dr. Nash also reveals that Christine’s memory loss did not happen due to a vehicle accident, but that Christine had been attacked and left for dead near an airport hotel.
At the mean time Christine receives a phone contact from a Dr. Nash who is a neuropsychologist, who has been handling her case, and thinks he can support her but on the other hand the reality is that she does not know him. To solve the dilemma Dr. Nash offers Christine her journal, exactly where she had recorded her daily activities for the last few weeks so the story evolves and she both reads and writes in the journal.
