Best Burger Recipe – 2 Cheesy Burgers With a Twist

What’s better than a tasty burger? A burger with cheese melted on top. If you’re a cheeseburger lover then you know how good it feels to bite into a juicy hamburger with a slice of your favorite cheese added on for extra flavor.

Now imagine a burger that features a whole different kind of cheese flavor that’s a little different from the normal cheeseburger, but just as delicious. The two recipes here show just how interesting a plain burger becomes when blue cheese or Swiss cheese is hidden inside.

Blue Cheese Stuffed Burgers

In a medium sized bowl, shape 1 1/2 pounds of ground beef into 8 patties that are about 4-inches long and 1/4-inch thick. Lay patties into a large pan or onto a large piece of aluminum foil.

In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese, 1/4 cup finely chopped parsley, 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 clove garlic and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Gently toss ingredients together until well blended.

Pick out 4 burger patties and mound 3 tablespoons of the cheese mixture on top of each. Place remaining 4 patties on top of each bottom burger and pinch the edges all around until completely sealed. Set aside.

Take a medium sized red bell pepper and cut it into thin strips.

In a large skillet, heat up 2 teaspoons of olive oil over high heat until hot. Add the pepper slices to the skillet and cook, stirring constantly, until the pepper edges begin to get brown. Sprinkle salt over the peppers. Remove peppers from pan.

In the same skillet, cook the stuffed hamburgers on medium high heat for 5 minutes. Turn patties over and top with red peppers. Cook an additional 4 minutes to desired doneness.

Grilled Reuben Burgers

Shape into 6 individual burger patties. Grill or broil burgers until done. Top with heated sauerkraut and additional crumbled bacon.
