Beware of the Combination of Six Categories of Food in Autumn

Generally speaking, there are mainly the following six kinds of food.

First, persimmon and crab
Crab is rich in protein, while persimmon contains tannic acid. When these two substances combine together, they are easy to solidify into precipitate, which is difficult to be digested by the body. Second, orange and milk

Third, pomegranate and seafood
Seafood such as fish, shrimp, algae, contain plenty of nutrients like protein and calcium. If you eat seafood together with pomegranate containing tannic acid, it will not only reduce the nutritive value of protein, but will also make the calcium in seafood and tannin acid in pomegranate combine into a kind of indigestible substance. This kind of substance will stimulate the stomach and cause discomfort like abdominal pain.

Fourth, chestnut and bean curd
Bean curd contains magnesium chloride and calcium sulfate, while chestnut contains oxalic acid. When these two kinds of food meet with each other, they will produce magnesium oxalate and calcium oxalate. These two white precipitates not only will affect the absorption of calcium by the body, but will also easily lead to calculosis. Similarly, bean curd should not be eaten together with bamboo shoots, wild rice, spinach, and so on.

Fifth, seafood and beer
Seafood contains both purine and nucleotide, while the beer is rich in vitamin B1, which is an important catalyst to decompose these two substances.
