Autumn is the best time for the supplementation of nutrition to your body, so many people may choose to eat all kinds of high-nutrition food without any limitation. However, experts point out that some kinds of food should not be eaten together. Otherwise, it may cause serious consequences to the body. Generally speaking, there are mainly the following six kinds of food.
First, persimmon and crab
Crab is rich in protein, while persimmon contains tannic acid. When these two substances combine together, they are easy to solidify into precipitate, which is difficult to be digested by the body. What’s more, as tannin acid has an astringent effect, so it can inhibit the secretion of digestive juice, which will make the solidified materials remain in the intestinal tract, thereby leading to food poisoning such as vomiting, abdominal distension, diarrhea, and so on.
Second, orange and milk
The protein in milk will combine with the tartaric acid and vitamin C in orange, and solidify into blocks, affecting digestion and absorption. When it is serious, it may possibly cause abdominal distention, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and so on.
Third, pomegranate and seafood
Seafood such as fish, shrimp, algae, contain plenty of nutrients like protein and calcium. If you eat seafood together with pomegranate containing tannic acid, it will not only reduce the nutritive value of protein, but will also make the calcium in seafood and tannin acid in pomegranate combine into a kind of indigestible substance. This kind of substance will stimulate the stomach and cause discomfort like abdominal pain.
Fourth, chestnut and bean curd
Bean curd contains magnesium chloride and calcium sulfate, while chestnut contains oxalic acid. When these two kinds of food meet with each other, they will produce magnesium oxalate and calcium oxalate. These two white precipitates not only will affect the absorption of calcium by the body, but will also easily lead to calculosis. Similarly, bean curd should not be eaten together with bamboo shoots, wild rice, spinach, and so on.
Fifth, seafood and beer
Seafood contains both purine and nucleotide, while the beer is rich in vitamin B1, which is an important catalyst to decompose these two substances. If you drink beer while eating seafood, it may sharply increase the level of the uric acid in blood, induce gout, and consequently result in gouty nephropathy, gouty arthritis, and so on.
Sixth, milk and chocolate
The calcium in milk and the oxalic acid in chocolate will combine into calcium oxalate, which is not dissolve in water. Calcium oxalate not only can not be absorbed by the body, but will also cause diarrhea, dry hair and other symptoms.
