Brownie Pie From Scratch – Best Cream Cheese Brownie Pie

This is a tantalizing cream cheese brownie pie that you can make from scratch, but won’t take a lot of time to prepare.

To make this dessert you’ll need: 1 refrigerated pie crust – softened, 1 (8 oz.) package of cream cheese – softened, sugar, vanilla, 3 eggs, 1 box of hot fudge swirl brownie mix, vegetable oil, water and chopped pecans (optional).

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Place the pie crust into a 9-inch glass pie dish and bake as directed on the box for one pie crust.

In a medium bowl, take an electric mixer and beat 1 package of cream cheese, 3 tablespoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla and 1 egg on medium speed until smooth; set aside.

Reserve the hot fudge packet from the brownie mix.

In a large bowl, beat the brownie mix, 1/4 cup vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon of water and 2 eggs for 2 minutes with a wooden spoon.

Spread 1/2 cup of brownie mixture into the pie crust. Spoon and gently spread the cream cheese mixture on top. Layer the remaining brownie mix on top of the cream cheese; spread on evenly. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of chopped pecans.

Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until the center of pie is puffed and the crust is a golden brown. After 15 or 20 minutes in the oven, cover the crust edge with strips of foil to prevent burning.

In a small microwavable bowl, microwave the hot fudge from the brownie mix packet on high heat for 30 seconds. Stir in 1 tablespoon of water. Drizzle hot fudge on top of pie. Let pie cool for about 3 hours. Store in the refrigerator.
