Every year Cleveland face a difficult problem in trying to improve upon some superb wedge designs of the past – and 2011’s attempt is the CG16 wedge.
The wedge has been designed following significant feedback from Tour players using Cleveland wedges and the Cleveland CG16 Wedges have been based on the hugely successful CG14 template.
However, there are a couple of key differences, namely the new laser-milled face and the introduction of a very slight pocket cavity in the rear of the clubhead.
But would this affect the feel of an extremely popular Cleveland CG16 Wedges ? TG’s equipment team Jonathan Greathead and David Connor took to the course to find out.
