How to Find the Best Omega-3 Fish Oil Supplement

There are many poor quality manufacturers out there that produce low-quality products. By doing your research and discovering what makes the best omega-3 fish oil supplement, you can begin to find the truly high-quality products at an excellent price.

In all my years of using and researching nutritional supplements, I’ve come across a lot of low-quality supplements. These are usually from companies that try to make an extra buck by deceiving the consumer.

This never works in the long run, because even if you buy their products, you most likely never come back. In order to avoid these companies, look for clinical trials and independent reviews done by government approved laboratories to confirm that the omega-3 fish oil supplement is high quality and effective.

A good tip would be to look at products that have been molecularly distilled. This basically means that the product has been purified and made pharmaceutical grade quality. Molecular distillation removes all the contaminants and possible poisons from the omega-3 fish oil supplement.

You also want to make sure that the companies are using the right kind of fish. Different kinds of fish have different amounts of omega-3 in them, so you want to find the fish with the highest amount of omega-3’s and lowest amount of contamination.

A few examples of excellent fish are salmon, tuna and hoki. You might not have heard of hoki, they are a deep water species of fish that swim in the waters a bit outside the southern coast of New Zealand.

Researchers have found an interesting effect when you blend tuna and hoki into the same omega-3 fish oil supplement. A recent clinical trial showed that this simple blend is 2 1/2 times more powerful in terms of health benefits, when compared to other products in the market today.

By doing research, you will begin to see more and more of these clinical trials that can help point you in the right direction. It took me a while to find the best omega-3 fish oil supplement for me, but once I did, it was well worth it.
