If He Won’t Text You Back, Don’t Go Crazy Just Yet

Is your first instinct to panic when he won’t text you back? Do you immediately begin burning his phone up when he doesn’t return your calls? When is it okay to text him a second time? Thanks to modern technology we are more connected than ever. Unfortunately, that just brings along a whole new set of problems. If you have over-texted someone in the past then you know that it’s not a great way to let someone know that you are interested. The following article will give you an idea of what you should and should not do if he won’t text you back.

Text twice, then stop.

Don’t flood his inbox with texts. Instead, if he won’t text you back, do this: text him once, wait, then text again. Your first text should be your original message. After about an hour, if he doesn’t return it, then text him again, this time saying that you are checking to make sure he got your last one since your phone has been having problems. After that, stop. Resist the urge to text him again. He has now heard from you twice and that is quite enough. Anymore messages from you and he will get annoyed.

Wait it out.

It might be difficult, but you’re just going to have to wait. If you annoy him then he might lose interest in you all together. If you’re having trouble focusing on waiting then do something to keep yourself busy. However, try not to stare at your phone. He very well could have a good reason for not getting back in touch with you. Or, he might just not be interested in you. Either way, there’s not a whole lot you can do about it at this stage in the game.

When he answers…

Eventually, he will probably get back to you. When he does, it makes sense to wait and see what his response is. If he apologizes and tells you that he was visiting his grandmother in the hospital or something, text him back right away and let him know that it’s okay. However, if he is nonchalant about it and you don’t feel the excuse is good enough, wait a little while before you text him back. It’s good to keep some mystery up at the beginning of the relationship.
