The Nike Dunk High Premium SB Mork and Mindy is among the new products in the Nike-Dunk line, other new products in the line being the likes of the Nike Dunk High Barricade Transformers, the Nike Air Yeezy and the Nike High Premium Baroque. Since I got the opportunity to use the Nike Dunk High Premium SB Mork and Mindy, I can confess to have truly gotten enchanted with it.
One of the most remarkable features in the Nike Dunk High Premium SB Mork and Mindy, as the name suggests, is its height – as this is a truly towering shoe. Take note though, perhaps in a bid to make for comfortable wearing, Nike elongates the shoes upper body, rather than the sole area, although the Nike Dunk High Premium SB Mork and Mindy’s sole still remains in the category of thicker than average soles. All in all, though, what we have in the Nike Dunk High Premium SB Mork and Mindy is a shoe that starts out as an ordinary sized shoe in terms of width and height, at the front tip (where the toes go); but then gets elongated in quite a high gradient as it goes towards the center of the shoe, so that by the time we get to the back of the foot, the shoe is truly towering.
To show that it is an authentic Nike product, the Nike High Premium SB Mork and Mindy does come with the signature Nike ‘tick’ which as any keen observer of Nike products will have noted, is more often than not emblazoned in silver (in many Nike products) where the color scheme allows for use of silver. In the case of the Nike Dunk High Premium SB Mork and Mindy, the tick is indeed silver, starting out in a wider silver patch that seems to be purpose-made for this somewhere towards the center of the shoe, and going all the way up to the highest point of the shoe, and then continuing to the other side of the shoe; to terminate at a similar silver patch on the opposite side. This way, from whatever side a person happens to be viewing you, they can clearly see that you are in Nike.
For a tying mechanism, Nike seems to have opted to go the traditional/classic shoe-thread way in the Nike Dunk High Premium SB Mork and Mindy. The thread in use here is long, going all the way up to the highest point of this shoe, which is remarkably high up indeed (as noted earlier on). So what we are looking at then, in terms of shoe-thread holes, in the Nike Dunk High Premium SB Mork and Mindy is at least some 18 individual shoe thread holes (that is, 9 pairs), though depending on the one preferences, one can thread up to only five pairs (10 thread-holes), and still be able to wear the shoe comfortably.
Researching on the name, it turned out that the Nike Dunk High Premium SB Mork and Mindy is actually named after a science-fiction TV series that ran all way through the 1970s and the 1980s – and which proved to be quite a popular hit in those days, perhaps just as the shoes are proving to be this age.
