Heat exchangers are relatively important in transferring heat from a liquid or gas component to another. Commonly, the principle works as heat of the hot engine water is transferred by pumping it through the radiator. Air is also essential in the process as it is used in blowing the radiator tins. This process is known as liquid to air heat exchange and is done with the aid of water heat exchangers.
Heat exchangers are generally classified into boilers, refrigerators, air conditioning systems and furnaces. In water heat exchangers, there are various types one may consider looking into. These products are helpful not only in heating processes but in cooling procedures as well. Here are some of the most common products on the list.
Solar heaters using water
Solar heaters are employed in residential and commercial purposes. The product concentrates more on the use of the sun in order to heat water. They may further be subcategorized as active and passive solar water heaters. Active solar heaters are those that contain the so-called circulating pumps and controls while passive products do not have either of these two parts. Solar water heaters may conveniently be mounted on roofs and walls and usually have solar collectors as well as storage tanks. In order to get the best result from these items, insulating the storage tanks is necessary.
Water heating systems are popular types of water heat exchangers used in residences and various industries. These items work through the use of oil, gas or devices fired by electricity. They can be classified into two items: storage water heaters; and demand water heaters. The first classification is commonly fired up by electricity and natural gas while the second one makes use of gas, propane and electricity in the heating procedure. Demand water heaters are also known by the name tankless water heaters and are favored because they provide consistent hot water as long s the latter is heated with an activated device.
Air to water heat exchanger
When it comes to both heating and cooling purposes, air to water heat exchangers are popular choices. These units are compact yet they are capable of maximizing heat transfer during the process. The most common applications include residential, apartment, building and condominium heating. Purposely, they are also favored by hybrid systems. They are also used in air conditioning and dehumidification. The most common materials used to make up this type of heat exchanger are tube coils, plate fins, galvanize steel and copper.
